Fuel Savings
The D-GAS System is known as the "GREEN" system. It does this by improving diesel combustion and can achieve up to a staggering 30% decrease in diesel fuel costs. This saving must then take into consideration the cost of the LPG fuel which currently is circa 2/3 less than diesel fuel. Historically the nett savings then is around 20%. A significant figure especially for those driving long hual and interstate.
Savings are made from normally un-burnt diesel fuel wasted in poor combustion and expelled through the exhaust system as pollution. It is this unburnt diesel which is now used to power the engine more efficiently. Not only does un-burnt fuel waste money, it also causes pollution to our environment.
Use of the extra performance given by LPG injection will reduce the overall savings however we are able to tune the LPG injection for either maximum economy or power or somehwere in the middle as required by our the user!
Note: Any increase in economy is classed as a bonus as the D-GAS system was designed mainly to lower emissions by increasing combustion of the diesel fuel with the added bonuses of extra performance and economy.
Other Savings
D-GAS can also prolong engine life by improving the combustion process. This improvement reduces Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGT’s) and carbon build up in the engine, which in turn reduces carbon in the engine oil. This reduced deposits in the engine oil allows the engine to run with cleaner/fresher oil between the regular oil changes. CLEANER OILS MEANS LONGER LASTING ENGINES! A quick check of the massive reducing in black smoke under acceleration and the engine oil at oil change will confirm much less carbon emissions and less unburnt fuel. You can literally can "see" the savings!
Plus, less carbon and lower oil temperatures can increase the time intervals between oil changes, which then can be added as an extra saving in oil and servicing costs.
Government Grants / Incentives The Australian Government also has in place a Fuel Tax Credits scheme for GST registered businesses, of 18.51 cents per litre, for all vehicles with a GVM of over 4.5 tonnes.
An extension to the GOVT REBATE SCHEME FOR HEAVY INDUSTRY may be introduced however, as of 22/10/07 this scheme has now exhausted its funding. However even with this grant in operation applicants were forced to wait many months before being accepted as a grant recipient. Many of our customers who bit the bullet actually were in front by the time the grant came through for the select few.
Some actually found it a better commercial decission to organise finance through our appointed finance broker whereby the savings well and truly paid for the cost of D-GAS installation. Talk to us if you also wish to utilise this cash flow savings opportunity.
Return on InvestmentThis test results and figures in the green panel on the upper right corner, are based on a 15 ton truck averaging 20,000 km each month. The monthly saving equates to around $4,000. In this scenario the D-GAS "BIG RIG" installation would pay for itself in less than 5 months. That's great news for the transport industry. Also, our system can easily be removed and fitted to the new fleet so your purchase of unit only occurs ONCE.
As of 5th May 2008, our top performer is a Freightliner with a Caterpillar C12 engine pulling 60 tonnes throuout country Queensland. It has acheived a 35% diesel savings and went from 1.8 kms/ltr to 2.43 kms/ltr.
As of 18/10/08 A K104 powered by a C16 pulling a B-Double has gone from 1.71 Kms/L to 2.37 Kms/L... Read more
A large fleet owner has advised us of a $38,000 per year fuel savings per year, per truck and have expressed how completely impressed they are with the results.
The average fuel savings of 20% to 25% are standard results for the D-GAS installation.
However our guarantee of an added 15% diesel economy INSURES YOU OF RESULTS EVERYTIME.
That's our commitment to you. |
