RE NEW TPI POST TURBO INJECTION UNIT TESTING TO DATE

Wednesday, October 22, 2008 - 18:01 - peter
So far the progress of major components testing of the TPI unit is as follows:
  • Cycle test of Regulator is complete and passed
  • Cycle test of Valve is completed and additional testing is progressing well. (passed every stage to date)
  • Leak test is completed and additional testing is progressing well.  (passed every stage to date)
  • Leak down test progressing well. (passed every stage to date)
  • Leak test progressing well. (passed every stage to date)
The industry standard is being used however we also take a rather LARGE step further:

FULLY SUBMERSED electronic gas unit operating under water!

I am hoping to have the unit fitted into a fish tank and video fish swimming around the operating unit.

Testing of these major components is stipulated by the Australian Standards to be 60,000 full cycles of the regulator and 1,000,000 full cycles of the injector valve.

This testing takes 1 week and replicated around 5 years of normal engine use however we will keep the units running 24hr per day for many many months until failure.
